About the role

We are seeking a Sales Representative to join the Mr Metal Recycling team in Taren Point, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base across the metal recycling sector. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our comprehensive range of metal recycling services.

Your strategic approach to sales and ability to understand customer needs will be vital in achieving our business objectives and strengthening our market position.

Key responsibilities

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local and regional markets
- Build and maintain robust relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Present and demonstrate metal recycling services to potential customers, highlighting competitive advantages and value propositions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations tailored to client requirements
- Negotiate contracts and terms of service to achieve sales targets whilst ensuring profitability




- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions
- Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate records of all client interactions and transactions
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

- Proven track record of success in a sales role, preferably within recycling, waste management, or related industries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients at all levels
- Excellent negotiation and closing abilities, demonstrating persistence and resilience
- Self-motivated and driven approach to achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local and regional areas
- Knowledge of the metal recycling industry or environmental sustainability practices (preferred)
- Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Customer service excellence with a focus on building long-term relationships
