About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Automation & AI Specialist for a contract opportunity in Sydney. The successful candidate will contribute to manual and automated testing, Salesforce quality assurance, test automation development and the adoption of AI-enabled testing practices.

This role is suited to a hands-on testing professional who combines robust testing fundamentals with automation scripting, programming knowledge and an interest in using AI to improve testing efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, design and execute manual, functional, integration, regression and end-to-end tests.
- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and relevant automation frameworks.
- Perform Salesforce application testing, validating functionality, workflows, integrations and business processes.
- Apply programming skills in C# or a similar language to support test automation.
- Explore practical AI use cases in testing, including AI-assisted test case generation, automation scripting and test documentation.
- Develop effective AI prompts, reusable patterns and appropriate guardrails for testing activities.
- Share AI testing practices, insights and learnings through team demonstrations and show-and-tell sessions.
- Contribute to team learning and the wider adoption of AI-enabled quality engineering.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers and other stakeholders to identify defects and improve software quality.
- Support automation integration into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on manual testing experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on automation test scripting experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on Selenium experience.




- At least 1 year of experience with C# or a similar programming language.
- At least 1 year of hands-on Salesforce testing experience.
- Demonstrated interest in, or practical experimentation with, AI use cases relevant to software testing.
- Ability to develop effective AI prompts, patterns and guardrails.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset, adaptability and commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Valid Australian work authorisation.
- Availability to work onsite at UTS Broadway Campus, Sydney, at least 2 days per week.

Highly Desirable Skills

- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Salesforce certification, such as Salesforce Platform Administrator.
- At least 1 year of .NET experience.
- Experience with Playwright.
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and Dependency Injection (DI).
- Experience testing SQL databases, XML and JSON.
- Experience using AI to generate first-draft test scripts, test cases and other testing artefacts.

Additional Desirable Experience

- ISTQB Test Automation Engineer certification.
- Experience in higher education.
- Familiarity with JIRA, SmartBear Zephyr Standard and Confluence.
- Experience with Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- SAFe Agile 6.0 experience or certification.

Contract Details

- Location: Sydney, NSW.
- Onsite commitment: Minimum 2 days per week at UTS Broadway Campus.
- Rate: AUD $650 per day, all-inclusive.
- Start: ASAP, with preference for immediately available candidates or candidates with a short notice period.
