Salesforce Technical Architect (Mid-Senior) | 6+ Month Contract

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Salesforce Technical Architect to join on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. You'll own the technical design of a multi-cloud Salesforce program, from solution blueprint through to delivery. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads and development teams to make sure the platform is scalable, secure and built to last.

This is a hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne, with 2-3 days a week in the office or on client site.

What you'll be doing

- Leading end-to-end solution and technical design across Salesforce clouds (e.g. Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing)
- Defining integration architecture between Salesforce and enterprise systems (ERP, data platforms, middleware)
- Setting and enforcing standards for data modelling, security, sharing, performance and governance
- Guiding developers through code reviews, design walkthroughs and technical decision-making
- Translating business requirements into explicit architecture artefacts, roadmaps and technical specifications
- Identifying technical risks and technical debt early, and recommending practical paths forward
- Advising on release management, DevOps and environment strategy

What you'll bring





- 7+ years of Salesforce experience, including at least 2-3 years in a technical or solution architect role
- Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform: Apex, LWC, Flow, data model design, security and sharing
- Proven experience designing integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware)
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling (e.g. Copado, Gearset, Salesforce DevOps Center, Git-based CI/CD)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences
- Experience working in agile delivery environments

Highly regarded

- Salesforce Architect certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, or progress toward CTA)
- Experience with Data Cloud, Agentforce or other Einstein/AI capabilities
- Background in [industry, e.g. financial services, government, utilities]
- Large-scale data migration or org consolidation experience
