Roselands Dental Practice is looking for a highly experienced Senior Dental Assistant with strong dental reception skills to join our friendly, close-knit team in a full time position starting in November.

We are a small, family owned dental practice with just two treatment rooms, located in Roselands Shopping Centre. We're not a corporate clinic, and we pride ourselves on having a supportive, happy team where everyone works together.

We're looking for more than just an experienced Dental Assistant. We want someone who can bring their skills, knowledge and initiative to our practice, contribute ideas, support their colleagues and help us continually improve the way we operate.

The ideal candidate will be confident, highly organised, an excellent communicator and someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a team.

About the Role

This is a varied, full-time position combining approximately 2-3 days on reception and 2-3 days of chairside assisting each week.

Reception Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional patient service, both in person and over the phone
- Confidently manage incoming calls, patient enquiries and appointment bookings
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and proactively
- Process payments, manage patient accounts and coordinate treatment bookings
- Manage recalls, patient follow-ups and laboratory cases
- Use initiative to identify and improve reception processes and daily workflows
- Help ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently

Dental Assisting Responsibilities
- Provide experienced chairside assistance across general and specialised dental treatments




- Maintain excellent infection control and sterilisation standards
- Prepare surgeries and support dentists throughout procedures
- Assist with the organisation and smooth running of clinical operations
- Manage dental stock levels, inventory and ordering of clinical supplies
- Monitor stock usage, anticipate supply needs and ensure essential materials are always available
- Liaise regularly with the Practice Manager and management regarding stock, ordering, clinical operations and opportunities for improvement
- Support and guide other team members where needed

About You We are looking for someone who has:

- Extensive experience as a Dental Assistant in Australian dental practices (minimum 3 years, ideally more)
- Proven dental reception experience (essential)
- Strong Dental4Windows (D4W) knowledge (essential)
- Excellent telephone manner and outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent spoken and written English, with transparent and professional communication
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Confidence working independently and making decisions
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to anticipate what needs doing without being asked
- A positive,



friendly personality and a genuine team first approach
- A high level of professionalism, reliability and attention to detail

Highly Regarded
- Experience with implants, orthodontics and Invisalign
- Treatment coordination experience
- Previous senior Dental Assistant or team leadership experience
- Experience improving practice workflows and procedures
