About the Opportunity!

Play a significant role in the start-up of our new manufacturing facility based in Dooen, Victoria. You will partner closely with site leadership and the broader business (locally and internationally) to ensure people practices are fit for purpose, commercially aligned and compliant with Australian employment legislation. You will be a strategic thinker who combines strong commercial acumen with a hands-on, operational approach to human resources, equally comfortable advising senior leaders on workforce strategy and working directly with managers and employees to resolve day-to-day people matters.

Key responsibilities

- Contribute to the development and implementation of the people strategy aligned with Farm Frites Australia's business objectives, operational requirements and growth plans
- Collaborate with Leadership team and continue to establish HR policies, procedures, systems and frameworks to support the successful launch and ongoing operation of the Dooen facility
- Partner with key stakeholders to build organisational capability, workforce plans, succession strategies and effective performance management practices
- Drive a positive workplace culture built on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Provide sound, commercially focused HR advice to leaders, balancing business needs with employee wellbeing and compliance obligations
- Provide expert guidance on Australian employment legislation, the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, applicable contemporary awards and enterprise agreements
- Manage industrial relations matters, including employee grievances, disciplinary processes, performance issues, investigations and workplace disputes
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, employee development, retention and separation
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of payroll operations, including award interpretation, ordinary hours, shift penalties, overtime,



allowances, leave entitlements and superannuation
- Act as a trusted adviser to the leadership team on people-related decisions, organisational change and workforce challenges

About you

- Demonstrated experience in a comparable senior HR generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, modern awards and contemporary HR practices
- Experience supporting operational workforces, within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, logistics or another industrial environment
- Proven experience developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and employment frameworks
- Practical experience managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes
- A sound understanding of payroll processes, award interpretation, shift penalties, overtime, allowances and employment-related compliance
- The ability to provide strategic advice while remaining hands-on and accessible to employees and operational leaders
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities in a changing environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations or a related discipline will be highly regarded
