Job Description

Bombay Dhaba is seeking an experienced and motivated full time Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals while maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards in a busy restaurant environment. - Responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to menu requirements and quality standards.

Duties

- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to menu requirements
- Preparing, seasoning and portioning ingredients
- Ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation
- Checking the quality and freshness of food ingredients
- Operating ovens, grills, fryers, stovetops and other commercial cooking equipment
- Monitoring cooking temperatures and ensuring food is properly cooked
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen




- Storing food and ingredients safely and following stock rotation procedures
- Monitoring food supplies and assisting with stock control
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work areas and equipment
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations and service periods
- Working effectively with kitchen staff during busy service periods

Qualification

- AQF Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook
- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen environment

Salary $75,000 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation Employment Condition Full Time / 38 hours per week
