Bring your payroll expertise to Michael Hill and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely payroll across our global business.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our Support Centre team in Brisbane. Supporting team members across Australia, Recent Zealand and Canada, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing while providing knowledgeable and responsive support across payroll and time and attendance queries.

What you’ll be doing

- Taking ownership of end-to-end pay runs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Reviewing and processing time and attendance and other payroll data
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
- Completing payroll compliance checks and legislated payments
- Providing payroll advice and support to team members, HR and leaders
- Preparing accurate payroll reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting peer checking and cross-training across the payroll team
- Contributing to ongoing improvements across payroll and HR processes

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who is highly organised,



detail-focused and comfortable working in a quick-paced environment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- A minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience
- Previous high-volume payroll experience
- Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and prioritise competing deadlines
- Experience with ADP Payforce or Dayforce would be highly regarded
