Summary:

As a Senior People and Culture Adviser based in North Geelong, Victoria, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our human resources strategy and ensuring the effective management of our personnel. This permanent, full-time position is essential for fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting our organisational goals through strategic HR initiatives.

The Senior People and Culture Advisor provides high-quality generalist HR support across Ramp Advisory Partners. The role partners closely with leaders across the business to provide guidance on people matters, including employee relations, workforce management, compliance, employee engagement and recognition, and performance and capability. The role supports the HR Manager by translating strategy into execution, building HR foundations, implementing systems and processes, and uplifting leader capability and culture in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

HR Advisory
- Act as the first point of contact for people and culture queries from managers and employees.
- Provide clear, practical and sound advice on people matters, including conduct, performance and policies.
- Exercise judgement in managing and prioritising HR matters, escalating risk appropriately.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders as a consistent and credible advisor.

Employee Relations

- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including performance, misconduct, grievances, complaints and disputes.
- Lead investigations and support complex matters in partnership with the HR Manager.
- Coach leaders through performance management processes, including appraisals, improvement plans and difficult conversations.
- Ensure all ER matters are managed with procedural fairness, confidentiality and solid documentation standards.




- People Initiatives and Programs

- Lead the implementation and rollout of People & Culture programs, frameworks and initiatives across the business, including:
- performance management and review cycles
- leader capability
- engagement and recognition programs
- wellbeing and psychosocial risk initiatives
- Lead people programs, ensuring consistency, adoption and continuous improvement. Coordinate delivery timelines, communications, documentation and leader support to ensure programs are embedded effectively.
- HR Operations, Compliance and Administration

- Oversee and deliver core HR operations, ensuring a balance between hands-on delivery and continuous improvement.
- Prepare employment contracts, variations, letters and HR documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Monitor probation periods, licence and visa expiries and compliance requirements.
- Provide expert award interpretation and employment condition advice.
- Support payroll with award classifications, allowances, overtime, shift penalties and payroll-related queries.

Partner with payroll to resolve issues supporting audits and compliance checks.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on generalist HR or People & Culture Advisor roles.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven experience rolling out and embedding people programs or frameworks.
- Experience supporting payroll through award interpretation and problem resolution.
- Strong organisational, communication and documentation skills.
- Proficient in HR software (Employment Hero desirable but not essential) and Microsoft Office
