CGC Recruitment is partnering with a leading Tier 1 commercial construction contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Engineer for a technically challenging, high-value refurbishment and remediation project in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Senior Project Engineer with experience in façade systems, waterproofing or complex building refurbishment works to take ownership of a significant project from initial design coordination and cost planning through to construction delivery.

The Opportunity

Working on a major existing commercial building, you will play a key role in delivering complex façade and waterproofing remediation works.

The position will involve working closely with design consultants, specialist subcontractors and key stakeholders to develop practical solutions to existing building defects.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen and the ability to manage challenging stakeholder relationships while driving the project through all stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the engineering and delivery of complex façade, waterproofing and remediation works.
- Coordinate architects, engineers and specialist consultants to develop practical and buildable design solutions.
- Manage technical reviews, design documentation and resolution of existing building defects.
- Oversee project scoping, cost planning, estimating and preparation of construction budgets.
- Manage subcontractor tendering, procurement, negotiations and appointments.
- Drive construction programmes, project costs, quality and subcontractor performance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients,



consultants and key project stakeholders.
- Take ownership of technical challenges and ensure successful project delivery through to completion.

About You

- Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial building contractor.
- Strong experience in façade systems, waterproofing, building remediation or complex refurbishment projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from design development and pre-construction through to delivery.
- Sound commercial understanding, including estimating, procurement and cost management.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities and the confidence to manage complex building challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and drive project outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
