Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced proactive Senior Safety Advisor to support the delivery of health and safety initiatives within a dynamic operational workplace.

Roster: Various rosters - FIFO from Perth

Start date: ASAP

Duration: approx. 6-12 months - with potential to extend

The Role This role will focus on promoting a strong safety culture, providing expert advice and guidance, supporting risk management activities and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with leaders, employees and contractors to drive continuous improvement, strengthen safety performance and promote proactive risk identification and management.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

- Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert health and safety advice,



guidance and support across operational activities.
- Promote a positive safety culture through proactive engagement, coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations, risk assessments and audits.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety management systems.
- Assist with incident investigations, including ICAM investigations, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Review safety documentation, procedures, permits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and report on safety performance, trends and key performance indicators.
- Support contractor safety management and compliance activities.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify hazards, manage risks and implement practical safety improvements.
- Assist with the development and delivery of safety initiatives, training and awareness programs.

Required Experience

- Minimum five years' experience in a health and safety role within construction, mining, processing, oil and gas or similar operational environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management principles and safety management systems.




- Knowledge of AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience in incident investigation, auditing and contractor safety management.
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and influence safety behaviours at all levels.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Current C-Class or CA-Class driver's licence or equivalent..
