Solution Architect – Digital Platforms - 6 Month rolling contract

Daily rate: $1100-1300p/d

We are partnering with a leading Australian organisation undergoing a major digital transformation to recruit an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background.

This is a long-term contract opportunity, initially 6 months with rolling extensions and an expected programme duration of multiple years.

The ideal candidate will come from a hands-on software engineering background, with strong experience designing distributed systems, cloud-native applications and enterprise integrations.

The Role

- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across large-scale digital platforms and transformation initiatives.
- Design scalable, reliable solutions using modern software engineering principles and cloud technologies.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define technical architecture, integration patterns and solution designs.
- Contribute to the development of microservices, APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across engineering teams, ensuring solutions are scalable,



secure and maintainable.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product and delivery to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support architectural decisions across greenfield development and existing platform modernisation.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a strong background in software engineering.
- Previous hands-on development experience with Java, Kotlin, .NET or similar backend technologies.
- Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs and event-driven architecture.
- Experience designing cloud-native solutions, ideally within GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, containerisation and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience working across large-scale digital, eCommerce or customer-facing platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with engineers and technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience within media, advertising technology, eCommerce or high-volume digital environments would be highly regarded.
