About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to join the Water Dynamics team on a full time basis in Mount Gambier, SA. This is a strategic role that plays a crucial part in our operations, overseeing all aspects of our service department and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our automotive services.

As Service

Manager, you will be responsible for managing service operations, leading our technical team, and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Your leadership and expertise will directly impact our business success and our customers' experience.

Key responsibilities

- Managing and overseeing all service department operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation

- Leading, supervising and mentoring the service team, ensuring high performance standards and professional development opportunities

- Attending to customer inquiries, managing service requests, and maintaining excellent communication with clients throughout the service process

- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with automotive industry regulations and safety requirements

- Managing service budgets, controlling costs, and monitoring profitability of the service department

- Maintaining accurate service records, warranty documentation, and technical reports

- Liaising with parts suppliers and service providers to ensure efficient operations





- Handling customer complaints and resolving service issues promptly and professionally

- Monitoring key performance indicators and reporting on service department metrics

- Ensuring all staff adhere to health and safety standards and company policies

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive industry

- Strong knowledge of automotive service operations, diagnostic procedures, and repair processes

- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating technical teams

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer relations professionally

- Sound understanding of automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements

- Proficiency with service management software and computer systems

- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges

- Relevant qualifications in automotive trades or service management are highly desirable
- A current driving licence is required
