If you're an experienced Technical Director, Principal or Associate Director who still enjoys solving complex engineering problems, this opportunity offers exactly that. You'll lead the electrical design and technical delivery of major projects across Brisbane 2032 venues, healthcare, defence, mission critical, education, transport and commercial developments, while remaining focused on engineering rather than performance reviews and administrative management.

Joining a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong and secure project pipeline, you'll become one of the key technical authorities within the Queensland business. Your expertise will help shape some of the state's most significant projects over the coming years.

The Chance

As Technical Director, you'll provide technical leadership across major multidisciplinary projects, typically exceeding $20 million in value. You'll work closely with clients, project directors and engineering teams to set design direction, manage technical risk and ensure excellence across project delivery. This is a role for someone who enjoys being the expert in the room.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the Technical Lead and Design Authority for major electrical building services projects
- Lead technical design reviews and provide final quality assurance sign-off
- Advise clients, project teams and stakeholders on complex engineering challenges




- Drive technical innovation and best practice across the business
- Mentor engineers through hands-on project involvement
- Contribute specialist expertise to major pursuits, bids and client presentations

About You You'll be a highly respected electrical engineer with extensive consulting experience and a reputation for delivering technically outstanding projects.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- RPEQ and CPEng accreditation
- 15-25+ years of building services consulting experience
- Demonstrated experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capability
- A passion for technical excellence and mentoring others
- Deep understanding of Australian building services design and project delivery
