Seeking an Experienced Payroll Officer with Ascender and State Government experience required for a Perth CBD

Join a well-established WA State Government organisation located in the Perth CBD. This is an excellent chance for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a supportive team and contribute to the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services during a busy period.
Your new role
- Process end-to-end payroll transactions in accordance with policies and procedures
- Interpret and apply relevant awards, agreements and payroll legislation
• Process payroll adjustments, leave transactions and timesheets
• Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and payroll process reviews
• Work collaboratively within a high-performing payroll team
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous
State Government payroll experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience using Ascender payroll systems
• Strong understanding of payroll processes,
awards and entitlements
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Confidence working in a fast-paced payroll environment
• Willingness and ability to complete payroll testing as part of the interview process
