About the role

You will lead a small group of babies aged 0-2 years, allowing you to build secure, trusting relationships with each child and provide responsive, individualised care. You will have a strong understanding of babies' developmental and emotional needs, including attachment, routines, sleep, nutrition, sensory exploration and early communication.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operation of the baby room

- Create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment

- Develop meaningful relationships with babies and their families

- Plan and document age-appropriate learning experiences

- Support each baby's individual routines, interests and development

- Guide and collaborate with other educators in the room

- Maintain high standards of supervision, hygiene, safety and child protection

- Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework and approved learning frameworks

About you

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent

- Demonstrated experience as a Lead Educator working with children aged 0-2 years





- A sound understanding of babies' physical, emotional, social and developmental needs

- A current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

- Current approved first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications

- Relevant and current child protection and child safety training

- Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills

- A genuine commitment to providing safe, nurturing and responsive care
