Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC routers, drilling machines and edge banding machines
- Load boards, run machining programs and prepare components for assembly
- Read drawings and follow production schedules
- Check components for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate problems respectfully
- Look for daily improvements to workflow, quality and efficiency
- Carry out routine machine care and keep the work area organised
- Move boards and materials using a forklift
About you
- Experience operating woodworking machinery, ideally in furniture or cabinetmaking
- Current forklift licence
- Flexibility to work varying shift hours to meet production requirements
- Attention to detail and protected work practices
- Reliable and hardworking with ability to take initiative
- Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing priorities
