Wilson Diesel Services is looking for an experienced and versatile Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Tennant Creek team.

Let's be transparent — this is NOT a mine site role!

We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on working autonomously and doesn't mind getting off the beaten track.

You'll split your time between our Tennant Creek workshop, local field service and remote breakdowns across the Barkly region, working on everything from heavy road transport and mobile plant to the occasional Toyota LandCruiser.

While there may be opportunities to backfill mine site positions from time to time, this is predominantly a workshop and remote field service position.

The Role

- 18 days on / 10 days off roster, FIFO from within the NT

- Workshop repairs, servicing and diagnostics

- Local and remote field service and breakdown support

- Work across heavy road transport, mobile plant, mining, civil and agricultural equipment

- The occasional LandCruiser service or repair

- Fully equipped field service ute provided





- Independent work with the support of an established local team

About You

- Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic

- Experience across both heavy road transport and mobile plant is essential

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities

- Comfortable working independently in remote environments

- Adaptable and willing to work across different equipment

- Current driver's licence

- Practical, reliable and self-motivated
