We are looking for a Chef and a Cook to join our team. Our stunning waterfront location offers breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay, making it one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Bayside Melbourne.
POSITION DETAILS: Location: Middle Brighton Employment type: Full time Salary: $75,000-$85,000. CHEF:. EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- May select and train staff
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety in line with council requirements
- Manage stock rotation and monitor kitchen inventory levels
- Prepare and present dishes to a consistent standard during service.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.
At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.
LICENCES:
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- RSA where alcohol is served.
COOK:. EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- Seasoning food during cooking
- May plan menus and estimate food requirements
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Assist with menu development and daily specials
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety in line with council requirements
- Prepare and present dishes to a consistent standard during service.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate III including at least one year of relevant experience, or Certificate IV.
At least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of the formal qualification.
- Relevant experience may also be required.
LICENCES:
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- RSA where alcohol is served.
