About the role…
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated draftsperson to join our dynamic team of Engineers and draftsmen. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for creating accurate AutoCAD drawings whilst completing and managing the pontoon approval process.
Pivotal to the role, you will be required to phone clients with approval updates as well as calling statutory agencies (Councils, Waterways, Maritime Safety Queensland, SARA, DETSI etc) to discuss the various stages of the approval process, manage information requests as well as providing detailed information regarding layout solutions.

To be successful in this role you will need…
- AutoCAD design knowledge and experience - this is essential to the role
- A minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience is required
- Experience with understanding the fabrication process. You draw something practical that can be easily fabricated
- Valuable problem-solving skills
- The ability to understand and interpret relevant Australian Standards
- Creativity that understands practicality
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Good computer skills
- Good communication skills as you will be required to phone and email clients and government agencies as part of the pontoon approval process
- The ability to work autonomously and self-management projects whilst also working effectively within a team.
