Occupational Therapist
Build your skills. Explore your interests. Make a difference — with a team behind you.

Current graduate or experienced OT | Full-time | Nepean–Blue Mountains, NSW | November 2026 or early 2027

What if your next workplace helped you become the therapist you want to be?

At Belinda Hill & Associates, we believe good therapy starts with good people, thoughtful clinical practice and a team that genuinely supports one another.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our established multidisciplinary speech pathology and occupational therapy team. You might be a new graduate looking for a workplace where you can learn, ask questions and build confidence, or an experienced OT ready to broaden your skills and explore new clinical interests.

Either way, we want to help you develop a career that is rewarding, sustainable and shaped around your strengths.

And yes, you can enjoy an extended weekend every week.

Why you might love working with us

A team that invests in you

You won't be expected to have all the answers. We provide weekly professional development, opportunities to discuss clinical challenges and ongoing support to help you develop your assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning skills. You'll have access to a broad range of assessment tools, therapy resources and intervention materials to support your work.

A career that grows with you

Have an area of practice you're passionate about? Want to explore something new? We'll work with you to identify your interests, build your knowledge and develop an individualised professional development plan. We want you to grow your expertise, not simply repeat the same work every day.

Genuine multidisciplinary practice

Our occupational therapists and speech pathologists work closely together to provide integrated, client-centred care. You'll have opportunities to collaborate on individual cases, participate in joint OT and speech pathology sessions and contribute to our weekly social groups. You'll be part of a team that shares ideas and recognises the value of different professional perspectives.

The resources to do your job well

We invest in up-to-date assessment and intervention resources, including a purpose-built gym and sensory space for children with movement, motor and sensory needs. Our full-time administration team helps manage the demands of running a busy practice, so you can focus on clinical care rather than doing everything yourself.

Our Allied Health Assistant program also provides opportunities to collaborate on therapy programs and support the development of the future allied health workforce.

A predictable week and a better work–life balance

We understand that a sustainable career needs room for life outside work. Our regular weekly schedule includes clinical work, professional development, clinical support and administrative time.

Our working hours are:

- Monday: 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

- Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

Enjoy Monday mornings to yourself and an extended weekend every week, while maintaining a full-time working week.

Who are we?

We are an established multidisciplinary clinic servicing the Nepean–Blue Mountains region, providing occupational therapy and speech pathology services to children, young people and their families.

Our approach is grounded in client-centred practice, meaningful goals and helping clients participate more fully in everyday life.

Belinda, our Clinical Director, has more than 30 years of experience as a speech pathologist across a range of clinical and professional settings. Her work has also included clinical education, teaching and leadership within the national speech pathology profession. She has led our OT and speech pathology team for the past 20 years and understands the support clinicians need at different stages of their careers.

We value a workplace where people can ask questions, share their ideas, learn from one another and develop their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

What will your role involve?

You'll work with children and young people across clinic and community contexts, providing assessment and intervention that supports their participation, independence and everyday functioning.

Your work may include:

- Assessing and supporting fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, activities of daily living and emotional self-regulation.

- Developing individualised intervention plans and meaningful functional goals with clients and families.

- Providing individual therapy, collaborating in joint OT and speech pathology sessions, and participating in weekly social groups.

- Working with privately funded clients and clients accessing services through the NDIS.

- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate clinical documentation using our digital practice management system.

- Collaborating with speech pathologists, other occupational therapists, allied health assistants and administrative staff.

- Contributing to team discussions, shared clinical learning and ongoing service development.

There is scope to build your skills across different practice areas, with support to develop your confidence and clinical reasoning over time.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

- A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy, completed before commencing practice.

- Current AHPRA registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.

- Eligibility to register as a Medicare provider, where applicable to your role.

- A current driver's licence and access to your own transport.

- A current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.

- Professional indemnity insurance once registered and practising, as required.

- Strong written communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

- An ethical, professional and client-centred approach.

- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.

- A willingness to learn, take on new challenges and reflect on your practice.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who cares about doing good work, is open to learning and wants to make a meaningful difference for children and families.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. You don't need to arrive as a fully formed clinician — we're interested in your potential, your approach to learning and the contribution you'll make to our team.

Remuneration and commencement

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience for established clinicians. Remuneration for new graduates will be discussed during the recruitment process.

We are looking for someone to commence in November 2026, with an early 2027 start available for new graduates.
