About the role:
As a Technician with BYD, you will be at the forefront of the automotive industry's transition to electric vehicles, working with cutting-edge BYD technology and contributing to our reputation for excellence in vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing:
- Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing on BYD electric vehicles
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and specialised tools
- Carrying out routine inspections and identifying potential issues before they become major problems
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Communicating effectively with customers regarding service requirements and vehicle condition
- Adhering to all health and safety standards and workshop procedures
- Staying current with BYD service bulletins, technical updates, and industry best practices
- Contributing to a professional and collaborative workshop environment
- Meeting quality standards and turnaround times for all service work
What we're looking for:
- Current Certificate III in Light Vehicle Servicing with an industry trade qualification
- Proven experience as an automotive technician with a strong technical knowledge base
- Experience with diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle systems
- A valid Australian driver's licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current or willingness to obtain BYD-specific training and certifications
