We are a leading structural steel fabrication company based in Wangara, WA, and we are looking for an experienced Trade Assistant to join our team and support our growing workshop operations.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start available. Overtime and Saturday work may also be available for those who are interested in additional hours.
Our modern, well-equipped workshop is continually being upgraded with new machinery and equipment. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, including landmark projects across WA.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, good practical skills and a solid team-focused approach.
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Trade Assistant or similar workshop role
- Previous experience in the structural steel or fabrication industry highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid driver's licence
- Current Forklift Licence
- Experience operating overhead cranes
- Confidence using hand and power tools, including tape measures and grinders
- Experience with beamline and plate processing machinery highly regarded
- Good English communication, reading and writing skills
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when required
