Our BAEG Queensland Service Centre located in Acacia Ridge is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the service of our premium range of hydraulic hammers, attachments and rock breaking boom systems.

BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments, MTB Hydraulic hammers, Erkat Drum Cutters and GTS Rock Saws in Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Victoria. BAEG are the exclusive service and spare-parts agent for Transmin's range of Boomer HD Rockbreaking boom systems in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Ensure workshop equipment, tooling and service vehicles are clean, tidy and kept in their correct locations

· Carry out the fitting and assembling of parts and sub-assemblies made from metal and other materials to make production machinery, hydraulic and other fixed or mobile equipment.

· To work from detailed drawings, schematics or specifications using hand and machine tools and precision measuring instruments.

To support qualified tradespersons to ensure jobs are completed on time.

Job tasks and responsibilities

- Clean,



paint and lubricate assembled articles ready for delivery to customers
- Operate (safely), clean and maintain hand tools to an acceptable level
- Shrink fit parts during assembly using oxy-acetylene torches and presses, dry ice/liquid nitrogen
- Operate powered machines and tooling that may be manually, or computer controlled
- Delivery and or collection of goods as required
- Any other supporting tasks as directed by the management team

ABOUT YOU To excel in this role, the successful candidate will ideally have/demonstrate: · Mechanical aptitude and or the interest in gaining and improving your mechanical aptitude

- Holds all relevant HRW licenses, work permits and qualifications to perform work on construction and mining sites
- Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DAS
- A proficient and motivated work ethic, with an attention to detail
- C/MR class license and Forklift license are essential
