Job title: Tree Planter | Civil Planting Crew | Perth Metro and Surrounding Areas

Location: Perth Metro and surrounding areas (current focus: Fremantle)

Job type: Casual

Pay: $33.05 per hour + $0.625 per hour general allowance + production bonus

Start: ASAP

Join our planting crew

Radix Workforce Solution is building a crew of tree planters for civil planting projects across Perth Metro and surrounding areas, starting ASAP. Our current focus right now is Fremantle, but our sites can be anywhere around Perth.

We’re after planters with the right mindset: people who chase production, stay positive when the day gets tough, and keep going whatever the weather does. We value team players who enjoy a bit of friendly competition and want to help the whole crew hit its best bonus production of the day.

What civil planting is like

Civil planting is a bit different from forestry planting. You still earn your own production bonus, but teamwork matters even more. We work alongside contractors and other trades, and you’ll deal with irrigation lines, mulch, tricky soil and the occasional surprise rock in the garden beds. The flow is different, but the mentality is the same.

Pay and conditions

- Casual role under Level 1 of the Gardening and Landscaping Services Award: $33.05 per hour plus a general allowance of $0.625 per hour
- Production bonus once you reach the threshold. It takes effort, technique and practice, so don’t worry if you don’t hit it straight away.
- Projects range from short to medium term. Some weeks are flat out, others may only have a couple of days.
- Extra hourly shifts may be available through our sister labour hire company
- For the right people, carbon and forestry work is coming up next season

Supervisors and team leaders Got a planting background and want to try leading a crew? We’re also looking for supervisors who understand the planter mindset and can organise the work so their team gets the best results.

What you’ll need

- White Card (physical card, or a Certificate of Attainment issued within the last four weeks)
- Basic PPE ( full details provided if selected)
- Superannuation account
- Australian bank account
- Tax File Number (if you’ve only just applied, that’s okay; you’ll have one month to provide it)
- A car is not essential but makes life much easier, since sites move around Perth
- Any tickets (first aid, bobcat, etc.) are a bonus, so let us know

Experienced planters are preferred, but if you’re recent and have real grit, we may give you a go.

Please don’t apply if:

- You’re only looking for a 7-to-3 hourly job or just want to clock up hours. We want people driven to earn more than the minimum through what they get done.
- You’re only looking to complete your 88 days. Some of our work is in eligible areas but not all of it, so we can’t guarantee work that counts towards your 88 days.

How to apply Apply through Indeed and include a short note about yourself, your tree planting experience, and any experience in civil planting, supervising or other relevant work.
