We are inviting experienced removalist contractors with their own truck to assist with local moves and property clearances across Melbourne. We need careful, organised owner operators available for part-time assignments involving both removals and rubbish removal.
You will collect furniture and household goods, secure and transport loads, deliver items to their destination, and remove approved unwanted materials. Protect customers' belongings and premises, keep customers informed, and leave collection areas tidy. Dispose of rubbish responsibly through suitable authorised facilities.
Applicants need their own roadworthy, registered truck with suitable carrying capacity; the relevant driver licence; moving blankets, straps and handling equipment; an ABN and appropriate vehicle and business insurance. Previous removalist work, punctuality and a sound approach to manual handling and load safety are essential.
Arrange suitable assistance for tasks requiring more than one person.
We offer an owner-driver-and-truck contractor rate of AUD $80-$110 an hour, based on the truck, your experience and the job scope. Normal vehicle operating expenses are included. Extra labour, disposal charges, tolls and GST if applicable are agreed separately in advance.
Assignments are part time and booking-dependent, with availability agreed for each job and no guaranteed weekly hours. Apply with a short summary of your experience, truck dimensions and capacity, areas covered, available days and whether you operate alone or with a crew.
