About the role

As an Internal Medicine Intern, you'll be involved in the day-to-day management of a diverse and interesting caseload within our busy multidisciplinary referral hospital.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with the care and management of hospitalised Internal Medicine patients
- Supporting specialists and residents with consultations, diagnostic investigations and procedures
- Gaining exposure to advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound, CT, MRI and endoscopy
- Monitoring patients and ensuring they receive exceptional care throughout their hospital stay
- Working closely with our nursing team and other hospital departments
- Participating in case discussions and learning opportunities

About you

- Hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
- Enthusiastic, motivated and genuinely keen to learn
- Strong passion for patient care and take pride in providing the highest standard of care
- Positive attitude and a good sense of humour to the workplace
- Hardworking, reliable and willing to get involved wherever needed
- Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting those around them
- Open to feedback, eager to improve and excited to develop clinical skills
- Interest in Internal Medicine and potentially pursuing further specialist training
