Gatsu Gatsu is a Japanese restaurant located in Launceston, renowned for providing authentic Japanese cuisine using high-quality ingredients and exceptional service. To further enhance our service, we are seeking motivated and experienced receptionists to join our team.
As an all-rounder, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our restaurant.
Your responsibilities will include
- Greet and serve customers with a friendly attitude
- Take orders and operate the POS system
- Pack takeaway orders and maintain cleanliness in the service area
- Food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Clean tables, kitchen areas, and utensils
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the team with any other duties as required
As an Cook / Kitchen Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing food ingredients for cooking purpose.
- Preparing and cooking food as per customer orders and to meet their special dietary requirements.
- Keeping kitchens, equipment and service areas clean.
- Managing dishwashing and helping the kitchen run smoothly.
- Maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume team environment.
What We're Looking For
- RSA Certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) - required.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role.
- Basic barista skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- For the cook/ kitchen hand, has a minimum of one year experience as a cook/ kitchen hand in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, restaurant.
