We are looking for a passionate and organised Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team and help bring exceptional events to life.

Located in the heart of Sorrento on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, The Continental is a landmark hospitality precinct bringing together the five-star InterContinental Sorrento, Aurora Spa & Bathhouse, premium restaurants, bars and stunning event spaces.

The Opportunity

As our Wedding & Events Coordinator, you'll play an important role in creating memorable experiences for our clients.

You'll work closely with couples, corporate clients and event organisers to bring their vision to life, managing the planning process from confirmed booking through to event delivery.

You'll also support our Sales team with enquiries, proposals and site inspections, helping create an exceptional client experience from the very first interaction.

What you'll be doing:

- Coordinate luxury weddings, corporate conferences, gala dinners and private celebrations.

- Build relationships with clients and guide them through the event planning process.

- Manage event details including menus, styling, floor plans, suppliers and timelines.





- Prepare event documentation and coordinate with our operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.

- Assist with enquiries, proposals, site inspections and securing recent bookings.

- Work alongside a passionate team across our restaurants, hotel and event spaces.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves events, enjoys working with people and takes pride in the finer details.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Experience in event coordination, wedding planning, event sales or hospitality.

- Excellent organisation and time management skills.

- A warm, professional approach to client relationships.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple events.

- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

- A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for creating exceptional experiences.

Experience in a hotel, wedding venue or premium hospitality environment would be highly regarded.
