$50 to $55 an hour, permanent full time, plus a phone and laptop. Based in Bassendean, done by 3:30pm, home every night.
Last Saturday night at HBF Park, Tonga beat England for the first time ever, 30-12. A pack that held its shape, and a halfback running it with precision. Sounds like a positive workshop floor.
I'm David from Itch. My client hires and modifies containers and site offices, and their Bassendean workshop needs a Supervisor to run the floor. You'll champion 5S, so here's the job, sorted.
SORT (what's in it for you)
- 7:00am to 3:30pm. Beat the traffic home
- Training that actually goes somewhere
- A good crew of 10 to 20 on the floor, and a boss who backs you
SET IN ORDER (the job)
- Run the pre-start, toolbox talks and safety huddles
- Allocate the jobs, tools and PPE, and be the go-to on the floor
- Daily Gemba walks. Go and see it, don't guess it, fix it.
- QC finished work and close out work orders
- Inductions,
training records and the weekly stocktake
- Assist with hands on duties in the workshop when required
- Act as the primary point of contact for the workshop floor
SHINE Lead 5S from the front, and grab the stinger when the floor's flat out.
STANDARDISE (the must haves)
- Trade certificate, boilermaker or welder
- Forklift licence and a current driver's licence
- Full Australian work rights
- Time leading a crew, or clearly ready to
- A straight shooter who can have the hard conversation, then move on
SUSTAIN You keep the standard up when nobody's watching, and the crew always knows where they stand.
