is seeking an experienced

Head of Delivery

to lead our Project Management Office, engineering delivery teams and overall project delivery function while helping us continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers.

IPTel Solutions delivers networking professional services and builds complex corporate networks. As a Cisco Gold Partner, we specialise in Cisco, Meraki and enterprise networking solutions across a diverse range of customers and industries.

Our projects vary considerably in size and complexity and include large-scale deployments and new-build projects requiring close coordination with customers, builders, construction teams, contractors, technology vendors and other third-party stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced delivery leader who can drive project governance, portfolio oversight, people leadership, operational performance and delivery excellence across the business. Leading a team of

16 staff, including 5 PMO professionals and 11 Network Engineers , you will be responsible for developing capability across the delivery function while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and strong commercial performance.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered consistently, efficiently and to a high standard, while implementing the frameworks, tools, reporting and governance processes that enable successful project delivery across the organisation. You will also be accountable for customer satisfaction, resource utilisation, delivery performance and contributing to the commercial success of the business.

Experience within networking, telecommunications, infrastructure or technology project environments would be highly regarded.

The Role As Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for leading IPTel's Project Management Office (PMO), engineering delivery resources and overall project delivery function.

You will work closely with customers, Project Managers, engineers, suppliers, contractors and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, risks are effectively managed, resources are optimised and customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and managing IPTel's PMO, engineering delivery resources and overall project delivery function

Leading, managing and developing a team of 16 staff, including 5 PMO professionals and 11 Network Engineers

Creating and maintaining a high-performance, customer-focused delivery culture

Conducting performance reviews, setting objectives and supporting career development across the delivery function

Recruiting, onboarding and developing project delivery and engineering staff as required

Providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and performance management across both project delivery and engineering teams

Supporting succession planning, capability development and workforce growth

Ensuring effective collaboration between PMO and engineering teams

Establishing, maintaining and continually improving project delivery methodologies, standards, templates and governance frameworks

Providing strategic oversight of IPTel's project portfolio

Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards

Monitoring project performance across schedules, budgets, risks, resource allocation and customer commitments

Developing and maintaining portfolio-level reporting, dashboards and executive reporting

Providing regular delivery, portfolio and performance updates to senior leadership

Managing project governance processes, reviews, audits and quality assurance activities

Ensuring project documentation, reporting and deliverables are accurate, complete and aligned with business standards

Managing resource planning, workforce capacity and project allocation across the delivery team

Working closely with technical leads to ensure engineering resources are effectively allocated across customer projects





Driving consistency in project planning, reporting and delivery practices

Leading the resolution of project escalations, delivery challenges and customer issues

Facilitating lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Identifying and implementing project management tools, systems and process improvements

Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders

Owning overall delivery performance across the business

Driving customer satisfaction and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Monitoring and improving customer experience and project delivery outcomes

Managing delivery performance against key operational and commercial metrics

Overseeing project profitability, delivery efficiency and resource utilisation

Working with leadership to forecast delivery capacity, workforce requirements and future resource demand

Contributing to business growth by supporting sales, solution development and project estimation activities

Establishing and tracking delivery KPIs and driving continuous improvement across the delivery function

Supporting strategic business initiatives and contributing to the ongoing growth and maturity of the organisation

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Demonstrated experience leading a project delivery function, PMO, professional services team or project portfolio

Proven experience managing and developing Project Managers, engineers and delivery professionals

Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams comprising both project delivery and technical resources

Experience managing teams of 10+ staff, including performance management, workforce planning and capability development

Experience leading managers, senior professionals and technical specialists

A track record of building high-performing delivery and engineering teams

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence and guide teams to achieve successful outcomes

Demonstrated success building high-performing and accountable teams

Strong experience developing and implementing project governance frameworks, methodologies and delivery standards

Proven experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities

Strong portfolio management, executive reporting and stakeholder engagement experience

Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies and escalations

Demonstrated experience with resource planning, workload management and capacity forecasting

Experience managing delivery performance through operational, customer and commercial metrics

Strong understanding of project financial management, profitability and commercial outcomes

Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer outcomes, operational efficiency and commercial objectives

Experience establishing KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance measures

Experience driving process improvement and operational maturity

Strong customer and stakeholder management skills

Experience working closely with sales, engineering and leadership teams to support business growth

Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills

Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality





Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or equivalent project management platforms

Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI and Visio

Experience working within technology, networking, telecommunications or infrastructure project environments

The ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions and lead through complex challenges

A recognised Project Management qualification or certification

Highly Desirable Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

Cisco or Meraki networking projects

HPE Aruba networking solutions

Network infrastructure projects

Leadership of PMO and engineering teams within a technology, telecommunications or infrastructure environment

Portfolio management and resource planning

Smartsheet, Power BI or similar reporting platforms

PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, MSP or equivalent certifications
