Batemans Bay

The Recreational Inclusion Officer plans and delivers group-based recreation, social and school holiday programs for children and adults with disability, bringing high energy, warmth and genuine enthusiasm to every session.

This is a capacity-building role, not a purely social one. Every activity is planned and facilitated with a transparent line back to participants' NDIS plan goals, building skills, confidence, independence and social connection, not just running an enjoyable outing.

That distinction matters more than ever. NDIS funding for social and community participation supports has been significantly reduced under the October 2026 funding reset, and continued funding for this kind of support now depends on providers being able to show genuine skill development and progress toward goals, not just attendance. The Recreational Inclusion Officer combines strong group facilitation with the discipline to plan against goals, observe and record progress, and adapt delivery so each session earns its place in a participant's plan.
