Love keeping things organised, moving and on track?
We’re looking for a proactive Leasing & Property Coordinator to support lease administration and property activities across our retail network, while also coordinating franchise resale, renewal and transition activities where they intersect with leases and property requirements.
This is a hands-on coordination role with plenty of stakeholder contact. You’ll work with franchise partners, landlords, managing agents, advisers, and teams across the business to keep property and leasing matters progressing, records accurate, and critical dates on track.
Who are we?
Minor DKL Food Group is a leading Australian retail food franchisor and the Australian subsidiary of Thai-listed Minor International PCL. Our brands include The Coffee Club and Veneziano Coffee, with more than 400 stores across 11 countries and over 5,000 people across our network.
For 35 years, The Coffee Club has been an iconic and much-loved part of Australian café culture. Built around family, friends and meeting customer needs, we have grown into one of the world’s largest Australian café chains while staying true to the welcoming experience our customers know and love.
What is the role?
Working across Leasing, Property and Franchise Development, you’ll help manage the day-to-day administration and coordination that keeps our retail property portfolio moving. From lease renewals and landlord approvals to property matters and franchise transitions, you’ll keep stakeholders informed, actions progressing and important dates front of mind.
This is a varied role where you’ll:
- Maintain lease and property records, critical dates and action trackers
- Coordinate lease transactions, renewals, options,
documentation and landlord approvals
- Liaise with franchise partners, landlords, managing agents and advisers on property matters
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs and lease-related matters with internal and external stakeholders
- Support new site, greenfield and other property initiatives through information gathering, approvals and project administration
- Support end-of-lease, surrender and handback activities
- Coordinate franchise resale, renewal and transition activities, including property and landlord requirements
- Maintain accurate reporting and provide clear visibility of milestones, risks and outstanding actions
- Identify opportunities to improve property systems, processes, templates and reporting
It’s a great opportunity to build broad experience across retail leasing, property, and franchise development within an established Australian café group.
Who are we looking for?
You’re organised, proactive and confident working with lots of moving parts. You enjoy building relationships, following things through and making sure the details are right. You’re comfortable juggling competing deadlines and know when something needs to be escalated.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in retail or commercial lease administration, tenant-side property administration or a similar coordination role
- Strong organisation, administration and time-management skills
- High attention to detail, particularly when managing records, documentation and critical dates
- Confident stakeholder and communication skills
- Experience working with landlords, managing agents, advisers or internal business stakeholders
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and follow actions through to completion
- A proactive, practical and service-focused approach
Experience in franchising, hospitality, retail, business sales or commercial property, or with CRM, lease database or transaction tracking systems, would be an advantage.
Why should you come work for us?
You’ll join a collaborative and high-energy workplace where ideas are welcomed, people support one another and there is plenty of opportunity to learn.
You’ll also enjoy:
- A varied role spanning leasing, property and franchise development
- Exposure to a broad range of commercial processes and stakeholders
- The opportunity to build your knowledge and capability in an established franchise business
- A modern Southbank office close to public transport and local amenities
- Adaptable working arrangements to support work-life balance
- Employer-funded paid parental leave
- Purchased annual leave
- Access to subsidised training and development programs
- Barista-quality coffee every day
