The opportunity
Do you enjoy turning complex clinical and economic evidence into a clear, compelling case for access to innovative medicines?
As Market Access Manager at Daiichi Sankyo Australia, you will help shape the reimbursement pathway for our innovative oncology medicines, from early access planning through to PBAC submission and successful PBS listing.
This is an opportunity for an experienced market access professional who is curious, enjoys learning, and takes pride in writing high-quality submissions that can make a real difference for Australian patients.
Reporting to the Market Access & Pricing Lead, you’ll work closely with them on reimbursement strategies and submissions, while collaborating with local, regional and global colleagues.
You will join a purpose-driven oncology business where people share their expertise, value different perspectives and support each other to do their best work.
Your day to day
- Developing and executing market access strategies for innovative oncology medicines, with a focus on reimbursement and timely patient access.
- Leading the preparation of clear, accurate and persuasive PBAC and MSAC submissions, while managing complex inputs, priorities and deadlines.
- Critically assessing clinical and scientific evidence to produce health economic analyses and PBS financial impact assessments and build strong value propositions for our medicines.
- Monitoring Australian reimbursement policy,
payer requirements, competitor activity and emerging market access trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Working closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, and regional and global HEOR colleagues to align evidence, access and launch planning.
About You
This is a specialist market access role within innovative medicines. To be considered, you will need:
- A relevant degree is essential: you are degree qualified in a Medical, Scientific or Health Economics field. Postgraduate qualifications in health economics or public health would be an advantage.
- At least five years of relevant Australian experience: you have worked in a Market Access or Health Economics role within the Australian pharmaceutical industry or a closely related field, such as a market access consultancy or an academic institution involved in HTA submission evaluation.
- Substantial PBAC submission experience: you have hands-on experience writing or evaluating PBAC submissions and managing complex, cross-functional projects. Experience supporting access for innovative medicines is important for this role.
- Strong capability in evidence-based medicine, including the ability to critically assess and interpret complex medical and scientific data.
- A sound understanding of health economic evaluation and PBS financial impact assessment within the Australian reimbursement environment.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex evidence into transparent, accurate and persuasive submissions.
- Curiosity,
sound judgement and a collaborative approach, with the persistence to work through challenging projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
