Healthcare Australia Doctors is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Medical Officer for overnight locum shifts at Swan Hill District Health, Victoria , across the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
This is a great opportunity to earn an attractive holiday hourly rate while supporting a regional Emergency Department during the festive season.

Position Details

- Hospital: Swan Hill District Health, VIC
- Role: Emergency Department Medical Officer
- Rate: $250 per hour (holiday rate)
- Shift Hours: 11:00pm – 8:30am
- Travel & Accommodation: Covered upon hospital approval

Available Shifts
All shifts commence at 11:00pm and finish at 8:30am the following morning.
December 2026

- Thursday 24 December
- Friday 25 December
- Saturday 26 December
- Sunday 27 December

January 2027

- Monday 4 January
- Tuesday 5 January
- Wednesday 6 January

Potential Earnings

- $2,375 per 9.5-hour shift
- $16,625 across all seven shifts ,



based on the advertised hourly rate and hours, before any applicable deductions

About the Opportunity
Join the Emergency Department team at Swan Hill District Health, providing medical care to patients presenting with a range of emergency and acute conditions.
The successful doctor will be comfortable working in a regional Emergency Department environment and collaborating with the wider clinical team.
Requirements

- Current AHPRA medical registration
- Relevant Emergency Department experience at Medical Officer level
- Ability to work the advertised overnight shifts
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing and compliance requirements
