About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team at Rapid Tune Keysborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure their safety, reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles.
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance and preventative repairs.
- Repair, adjust and replace defective mechanical components and parts.
- Test and maintain engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems and suspension systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and specialised equipment to identify vehicle faults.
- Conduct road tests to assess vehicle performance and verify completed repairs.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with relevant safety standards and workshop procedures.
- Maintain accurate service records and document repairs undertaken.
- Provide professional service and technical support to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Extensive Experience may be considered as substitute for the qualification
Experience
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required.
Skills
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Robust communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
