About the role:

Solar Land is seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to support the installation, testing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment associated with solar energy and battery storage systems. The successful candidate will work with electronic components and control systems used in solar inverters, hybrid inverters, battery management systems, monitoring equipment and EV charging stations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, practical troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve equipment faults to ensure reliable system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, inspect, test and maintain electronic equipment associated with solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems, inverters and EV charging equipment.
- Diagnose faults in electronic circuits, inverter control systems, battery management systems and associated monitoring equipment using appropriate diagnostic instruments.
- Test, adjust and calibrate electronic components and equipment to ensure they operate in accordance with manufacturer specifications and technical requirements.
- Identify defective electronic components, wiring connections, sensors, control boards and other equipment parts, and undertake appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Inspect solar inverters, hybrid inverters and battery control systems to identify operational abnormalities, communication errors and equipment performance issues.
- Configure and test electronic monitoring systems,



communication interfaces and data acquisition equipment used to monitor solar generation, battery charging and system performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and functional testing of electronic equipment to minimise breakdowns, improve reliability and extend equipment service life.
- Assist with the commissioning and performance verification of solar and battery systems by testing relevant electronic components and confirming correct system operation.
- Investigate equipment failures, analyse diagnostic results and recommend corrective measures to improve system efficiency and reduce recurring technical issues.
- Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals and manufacturer service documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, diagnostic results, maintenance activities, repairs, replaced components and testing outcomes.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and applicable technical requirements when handling electronic equipment, electrical components and battery systems.
- Coordinate with installers, electricians, suppliers and other technical personnel to resolve equipment-related issues and ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide technical support and advice regarding electronic equipment operation, fault identification, maintenance requirements and equipment performance.
- Assist with warranty assessments, technical investigations and after-sales service matters involving defective or malfunctioning electronic equipment.

- Relevant experience in electronic equipment installation, testing, maintenance and repair.




- Knowledge of electronic circuits, control systems, electronic components and diagnostic procedures.
- Experience diagnosing faults in inverters, electronic monitoring equipment, battery control systems or similar equipment.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in using electronic testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and quality standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to organise work, maintain technical records and complete tasks within required time frames.

We will provide:

A relevant trade qualification in electronics, electronic equipment servicing or a related technical discipline is desirable. Relevant industry experience and demonstrated practical competencies in electronic equipment troubleshooting, testing and repair will be highly regarded. Any electrical installation, connection or other regulated work must be undertaken by appropriately licensed personnel in accordance with applicable requirements.
