Macedon Village Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full time basis.

About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard, managing an allocated kitchen section, and supporting the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily service.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with menu specifications and established recipes.
- Assist with food preparation and maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
- Manage and maintain the allocated section of the kitchen.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently during busy service periods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Comply with workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.




- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to support smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have:

- At least one year of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar cooking role.
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant qualification, or equivalent relevant skills and experience.
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.

Employment Details

- Position: Chef de Partie
- Employment type: Full-time
- Salary: AUD $79,000–$83,000 per annum, plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
