Located in central Orange, The Lord Anson Hotel offers welcoming pub hospitality, modern bistro dining and spaces for private functions. Combining Mediterranean-inspired dishes with Australian favourites, our venue brings together locals and visitors for dining, drinks and celebrations.

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the venue’s bar, bistro and function operations. The successful candidate will lead our team, maintain high service standards and manage the hotel’s operational and financial performance.

Key duties

- Plan, organise and oversee daily hotel operations across the bar, bistro and function areas.
- Recruit, train, roster and supervise staff, providing transparent direction and managing performance.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, review revenue and expenditure, and control labour and operating costs.
- Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, stock levels and inventory procedures.
- Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, daily reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Coordinate functions, group bookings and special events with kitchen and service teams.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness, security and equipment,



arranging repairs and maintenance as required.
- Ensure operations meet liquor licensing, responsible service of alcohol, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
- Develop promotions and business initiatives to increase patronage, sales and profitability.
- Establish operating procedures and monitor service quality across the venue.
- Report to ownership on business performance, staffing needs and operational improvements.

About you

- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field.
- Demonstrated management experience in a pub, hotel or comparable licensed hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
- Sound financial management, rostering, purchasing and stock control capabilities.
- Ability to make decisions, manage competing priorities and lead during busy trading periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Permanent full time role with an annualized salary between $70K-$80K plus super
