Rehabilitation Consultant

- Location: Various Defense bases in regional Victoria
- Salary: Up to $105,000 + superannuation
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Rehabilitation Consultants to support current Australian Defense Force (ADF) members with injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes. The role involves conducting clinical assessments, developing tailored rehabilitation plans and collaborating with clients and key stakeholders to support recovery and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct clinical, functional and vocational assessments to identify rehabilitation needs and barriers to recovery.
- Develop, implement and monitor individualised rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
- Collaborate with ADF members, medical professionals and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Prepare timely, evidence-based reports and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Monitor progress, review rehabilitation strategies and determine appropriate service closure.

Tertiary Qualifications Accepted:

- Psychology
- Rehabilitation counselling (ASORC registered)
- Social Work
- Physiotherapy
- Exercise Physiology
- Nursing
- Osteopathy

Mandatory Requirements

- Australian citizenship (permanent residency is not accepted).
- Current skilled registration or membership, as applicable to the discipline.




- Minimum 12 months' proven occupational rehabilitation experience within your tertiary-qualified and/or registered profession.
- Ability and willingness to work Defence base hours of 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, with only limited flexibility subject to approval.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Additional Information

- Please note: you will be located in various defense bases across regional Victoria!
- Work exclusively with current ADF members, with access to client medical files.
- No billable KPIs or incentive scheme.
- Salary dependent on experience, typically capped at $105,000 plus superannuation.
- Experience in injury management, employment or disability services is desirable.
- Comcare accreditation is desirable.
- Intrastate travel may be required.
