Cape York Partnership

Cairns North

For over 30 years Cape York Partnership (CYP),a non-profit Indigenous organisation empowering the people of Cape York to choose a life they have reason to value, has partnered with the First Nations people of Cape York to co-design and deliver initiatives so they can lead the change they need for their communities to prosper. Our partnership consists of 14 entities working on areas of policy, empowerment, education, employment, health, language, culture and leadership. This work is delivered through three distinct functions; Cape York Institute for Policy and Leadership; Djarragun College and Cape York Solutions.

Every entity of Cape York Partnership works towards one agenda - the Pama Futures Agenda. It's a single cohesive reform framework incorporating land rights, empowerment and economic development for the people of Cape York, by the people of Cape York. Cape York Institute for Policy and Leadership is the primary formulator of the agenda in consultation and co-design to enact change at a National level.

Cape York Solutions is the on-the-ground deliverer of the Pama Futures Agenda providing a range of community services, business enterprises, employment, scholarships, personal growth opportunities and associated corporate support services across the Cape York region.
