An exceptional opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to join a well-supported community pharmacy in Far North Queensland.

Job Specification

As Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee dispensary processes, regulatory compliance, customer service and staff supervision while working alongside three Pharmacists, three Dispensary Technicians and approximately 10 additional staff.

The pharmacy uses Z Software, with an important component of the role involving supply to Remote Aboriginal Health Services with their being some opportunity to visit with remote communities. This is something that is shared amongst the Pharmacists as it's someting everyone wants the chance to experience.





Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.15pm and Saturday 9.00am-12.30pm. Standard weekday hours include a one-hour lunch break, with Saturday morning work being usually 1 in 4 as Sole Pharmacist.

Skills Required

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
- Strong dispensary and pharmacy operations experience.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and professional compliance requirements.
- Confident leadership and staff supervision skills.
- Excellent communication and patient counselling skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a supportive pharmacy team.
- Curiosity and adaptability and a drive to continually grow.
- Genuinely enthusiastic for professional services and community health outcomes.

Salary & Benefits:

A package of approximately $192K is offered, inclusive of $75 per hour Monday to Friday, $80 per hour Saturdays and superannuation. Fully provided Self-contained Accommodation easy walk to the pharmacy and an annual flight allowance.
