Network Security Engineer – Perth | Contract Opportunity

QIX Consulting Group is currently seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity based in Perth.

We are looking for a technically solid, hands-on professional with extensive experience across Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point and F5 technologies, who can support, secure and optimise enterprise network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, deploy and maintain enterprise LAN, WLAN and WAN networks.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and network security solutions.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Monitor network performance, availability, reliability and capacity.
- Perform network upgrades, patching, security configurations and ongoing maintenance.
- Implement network security policies, controls and best practices.
- Support network infrastructure changes in accordance with established change management processes.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, security specialists and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with enterprise networking and security technologies.
- Strong technical expertise across Cisco,



Check Point, Palo Alto and F5.
- Proven experience in network routing, switching, firewall administration and VPN technologies.
- Solid understanding of network security principles, infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with server infrastructure, backup and recovery solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Highly Regarded Certifications

- Cisco CCNA / CCNP
- Check Point CCSA / CCSE
- Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE
- F5 Certified Administrator
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or equivalent Azure certifications
