Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Project Support Officer to join an engineering team delivering road infrastructure projects across the South Coast region. This is a full time, 12-month contract with possible extension, starting ASAP.
About the role
- Pay rate of $53.56 per hour + super
- 12-month contract with possible extension, full time, based in Nerang
- Provide high level administrative and project support to several Project Managers and team members
- Coordinate team meetings, take and distribute minutes, and prepare documents, reports and presentations
- Establish and maintain spreadsheets and registers
- Prepare procurement and financial approval documentation, and assist with tender processes
- Liaise with external parties and contractors
- Track project documentation and follow up approvals to keep delivery on schedule
- Ensure practices align with policy, governance and WH&S; obligations
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience in a project support, project administration or similar role
- High level of competency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of procurement, with procurement or finance experience in an infrastructure environment highly regarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Organised, accountable and persistent with follow-up and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Current C class driver’s licence (mandatory)
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history check (mandatory)
- Qualifications in business administration, project management or procurement are advantageous
