One of our current opportunities is a permanent, part-time Payroll Officer position based in the East Ryde region, working 30 hours per week. This role is particularly suited to someone with KRONOS experience who enjoys working in a structured payroll environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll outcomes.
The Opportunity
Depending on the role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end or partial payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and within required deadlines.
- Maintain employee records, payroll data and system information.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, overtime, leave and allowances.
- Interpret relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions where required.
- Respond to payroll enquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll data and assist with reporting and compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure payroll records are accurate and up to date.
About You
We are interested in speaking with payroll professionals who have:
- Previous experience in a payroll position, ideally with exposure to end-to-end payroll processing.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
- Good knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and employment conditions.
- Confidence using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
For the East Ryde permanent part time opportunity, previous KRONOS experience is specifically sought, along with the ability to commit to 30 hours per week.
