- Maintain accurate records of resident participation, assessments, care plans, progress notes and activity evaluations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of programmes and make improvements in response to resident feedback, changing needs and quality outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, care, hospitality and management teams to promote a vibrant, welcoming and resident-focused environment.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with relevant aged care standards, workplace health and safety requirements, infection prevention protocols and organisational policies.
- Assist with the promotion of lifestyle activities within the residence, including preparing activity calendars, newsletters and event communications.

This is an ideal prospect for an enthusiastic and compassionate professional who is committed to creating memorable experiences and supporting older people to live fulfilling, connected and purposeful lives.

- Previous experience in a leisure, lifestyle, recreation or activities role within aged care, healthcare, disability services or a community-based setting.

- A genuine passion for supporting older people to maintain independence, wellbeing, social connection and quality of life.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver engaging individual and group lifestyle programmes that reflect residents’ interests, preferences, cultural backgrounds and abilities.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles, including the importance of choice, dignity, inclusion and meaningful engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, volunteers and external community organisations.
- Ability to adapt activities to support residents living with dementia, mobility limitations, cognitive changes or other complex care needs.
- Well-developed organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate calendars, resources, transport, events and activity documentation effectively.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to developing a varied programme of social, recreational, cultural, physical and community-based activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary aged care team while also demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Sound computer literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office and electronic care or resident management systems.
