An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced veterinarian to join a brand-recent, independently owned veterinary hospital in Melbourne’s south-east.

Opening in November 2026, the hospital is being established by the owners of an existing veterinary practice, giving you the opportunity to be part of a new team while benefiting from the support, experience and established systems of a successful veterinary business.

The position is open to veterinarians with a minimum of three years’ experience, with full-time or part-time hours available.

You’ll enjoy a varied small animal caseload, including both consultations and surgery, with the opportunity to develop relationships with clients and their pets as the practice becomes established. The role would suit a confident, capable veterinarian who enjoys clinical problem-solving, takes pride in providing excellent patient care and is comfortable managing cases independently.

While the hospital itself will be new, you’ll have the support of experienced practice owners who understand the importance of creating a positive working environment and providing high standards of veterinary care.

As part of a growing practice, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, help shape the clinic’s culture and play a role in its ongoing development.

The ideal candidate will have solid communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients, and a genuine commitment to providing quality veterinary care. You’ll be adaptable, resourceful and enthusiastic about being part of a new veterinary team.

As an independently owned practice, the hospital offers direct access to the owners, opportunities for professional development and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a growing business.

Located in Melbourne’s south-east, the practice is in a growing, family-friendly suburb with a welcoming community feel. With local schools, parks and shopping facilities, along with easy access to the surrounding south-eastern suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula, the area offers an appealing lifestyle away from the bustle of inner-city Melbourne.
