Zaparas Lawyers is seeking a highly capable Senior Legal Assistant to join our WorkCover team at our Oakleigh head office.

You’ll work closely with experienced lawyers, supporting the progression of matters and helping deliver outstanding outcomes for injured clients.

As a Senior Legal Assistant within our WorkCover team, you’ll be a trusted partner to your lawyers, taking ownership of day-to-day file management, anticipating requirements and ensuring matters progress efficiently.

Drawing on your solid understanding of personal injury litigation, you’ll provide high-level legal support across a range of WorkCover matters, bringing sound judgement, initiative and attention to detail to everything you do.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the day-to-day administration and progression of personal injury files.
- Preparing high-quality correspondence, medical-legal letters of instruction and other legal documentation.
- Compiling briefs and preparing court documents and litigation materials.
- Monitoring critical dates, managing diaries and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.




- Liaising proactively with solicitors, clients, medical practitioners, barristers and other relevant parties.
- Maintaining accurate file records and overseeing all aspects of file administration.
- Anticipating the needs of your lawyers, identifying priorities and keeping matters moving.
- Providing professional, compassionate and responsive service to clients throughout their legal journey.

About You

You’re an experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in personal injury law, ideally with substantial exposure to WorkCover matters. You understand the demands of litigation support and can confidently manage competing priorities while delivering consistently high-quality work.
