What you'll be doing

- Ensure transport activities comply with Coates safety standards, load restraint requirements and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
- Raise purchase orders, maintain transport records and monitor transport costs and utilisation.
- Challenge unsafe or inefficient transport practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Branch and Operations teams to support asset utilisation, profitability and the "right truck, right load, right time" approach.
What you'll bring
- Experience coordinating specialised transport, heavy equipment, portable buildings, oversized loads or similar operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of load restraint,
loading/unloading risks and transport critical risks.
- Practical understanding of Chain of Responsibility and the shared responsibilities of parties across the transport supply chain.
- Experience within transport, hire, construction, quarry, infrastructure or heavy vehicle environments.
- Strong commercial awareness, including transport costs, utilisation and productivity.
- Ability to analyse transport requirements and make decisions that balance safety, service and cost.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple deliveries, collections and transport providers simultaneously.
- Confidence to stop or challenge a transport activity where a safety or compliance concern exists.
- Strong administration and systems capability, including transport documentation, purchase orders and invoicing.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify safer, simpler and more efficient ways of working.
