Alltype Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company delivering fabrication, installation and maintenance services across Oil & Gas, Resources, Infrastructure and Defence projects throughout Australia. Due to strong project demand, we are seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to join our team Walgoolan WA on 10 days on 4 days (10:4) off roster with an immediate start.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supervising SMP works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a site-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day SMP site activities, including structural steel, mechanical works, and pipeline installation
- Oversee installation of multiple small-diameter pipelines and MSCL water pipework
- Lead, manage, and coordinate supervisors, trades, and subcontractors on site
- Ensure all works comply with HSE requirements, quality standards, and project specifications
- Monitor progress against program, identify issues, and report on productivity
- Plan, schedule, and manage personnel, resources, and equipment to meet project milestones
- Support commissioning, tie-in, and handover activities as required
- Ensure S26 Schedule responsibilities are implemented correctly, including completing or overseeing relevant exams
- Read, interpret, and implement construction drawings, P&IDs;, and technical specifications
- Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders at all levels
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring proactive risk management and adherence to Australian Standard

About You





- Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Australia)
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Previous onsite Engineering or Construction supervisory experience
- Thrives on working autonomously
- Strong track record in effective Health & Safety management on site
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs; and technical specifications
- Section 26 (S26) Qualification
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Erecting heavy steel structures
- Installation of prefabricated pipework
- Supervision of site fit and welded pipework
- Installation of pipelines or MSCL pipe an asset

- Established capability in planning, scheduling and managing personnel, resources and equipment to meet project requirements
- Sound knowledge of quality systems, procedures, policies and relevant Australian Standards
- Exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
