About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic child educator for an assistant role in our preschool room. This is a full time position available immediately.

Key responsibilities

- Support the implementation of a Montessori-inspired program that nurtures each child's natural curiosity, independence and love for learning

- Assist with the setup, presentation and maintenance of age-appropriate learning environments and Montessori materials

- Engage with children in meaningful experiences that promote their emotional, cognitive, social and physical development

- Collaborate with lead educators to plan, deliver and reflect on daily activities and learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and Montessori principles

- Observe and respond to children's interests, needs and behaviours in a respectful and supportive manner

- Assist with maintaining daily routines including meal times, rest periods, toileting and transitions, ensuring a calm and consistent environment

- Maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety and supervision at all times in accordance with regulatory and centre policies





- Establish and maintain warm, respectful and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues

- Support the documentation of children's learning and development through written observations and digital platforms, where required

- Contribute to a positive team culture by attending staff meetings, participating in professional development and sharing reflective practice.

About You

· Australian citizen or permanent resident

· Certificate 3 or Diploma in Childcare

· 1-2 years of experience working with children aged 2-6 years

· Current Working with Children Check

· Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate (desirable)

· Working knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQS/NQF

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Confidence in using technology and computer literacy

· The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

· A passion and commitment to early childhood education
